 Six-Week Hand-Building Class

This syllabus explores several hand-building methods and how these techniques work together. 

Projects are primarily determined by the students’ interest. Over several weeks, you will have time and inspiration to plan and build projects, and you will have the opportunity to decorate and/or glaze your own projects. This class is designed for both beginners and intermediates. 

Projects:

• ‘Set of Smalls’ these will act as test tiles but can be functional. Ex: Tea lights holders, shot glasses, egg cups, coasters, or stackable sauce bowls.

• Pinched Bowl— keep it simple or consider attaching handles or a fun rim.

• Slab Mug

• Two - three additional projects using the process of your choice.

Glaze and firing services are an additional $15 per project. The estimated cost $75 for the session.

Refreshments: Mugs, tea, honey, light snacks, and bottle openers are provided. Feel free to BYOB.

Additional Open Studio Hours: This course includes open studio time, to be utilized as soon as you feel comfortable. No scheduling required. Hours are subject to change.

Mondays 3 - 7 pm

Wednesdays 11 am - 7 pm

Saturdays 10 am - 2 pm
